Apple Itunes Features the Witnesses Movie Trailer on the Front Page of their Movie Trailer Site

I just heard that the trailer for the new Witnesses film about the Three Witnesses is being featured on the front page of Apple’s iTunes Movie Trailers site. That’s pretty amazing, but is certainly appropriate given the quality and the drama of this movie. This may not last long, but I’m quite happy about it. Here’s my screenshot from 5:44 PM Central Time, May 5, 2021:

The trailer can be viewed directly at the iTunes site at https://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/witnesses/. Get your cinema tickets in advance at https://witnessesfilm.com/.

  1. You can buy anything with money, right? And who's sitting on $120Billion slush fund?

I wonder how many starving people or people without clean water or people ravaged by disease or disability this movie will comfort.

  2. @Anonymous: FYI this movie is produced by the Interpreter Foundation, not by the Church. From their web page:

The Interpreter Foundation is an independent organization that supports but is not owned, controlled by, or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The material published by the Interpreter Foundation is the sole responsibility of the respective authors and should not be interpreted as representing the views of The Interpreter Foundation or of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As for 'how many starving people or people without clean water…this movie will comfort', you can say the exact same thing about any movie or any financial expense, for that matter, whether by a charitable, non-profit organization or any other organization or person.

  3. I wonder how many starving people or people without clean water or people ravaged by disease or disability your comment will comfort?

  4. As I'm sure 2:40pm has every reason to understand, I don't have $100+Billiion. I don't have tax exempt status. I don't operate as a church which most people have the expectation is a charitable institution, hence the exemption from taxes that, in consequence, the rest of us have to pay to make up the deficit.

OTOH, I am rather proud to say that my husband and I dotake charity seriously and give where we feel it will have direct impact and not buy shopping centers.

  5. Let's see, the blog article was about the movie Witnesses which was not produced by the Church and then someone comments about how much suffering was alleviated by this movie and then ties in the savings that the Church has as if the two are somehow related but I am the one that is confused by the "facts"?
