A Birthday to Remember

Did you catch the gut-wrenching yet inspiring post “Happy Birthday, Betsey Pearl” by Adam Greenwood over at Times and Seasons? For those of you struggling with the loss of a child, the pending loss of a child, or the grief in other families from the loss of a child, you may be strengthened by Brother Greenwood’s experience and perspective. Make no mistake: mortality is not an easy place.

Thanks to Ethesis for calling my attention to that post.

  1. It was a great post, wasn’t it? I’m glad we’ve both linked to it, and I’ve added you to my links as well.

  2. BTW, are you an IP lawyer? I’ve actually tried a couple copyright cases, but did not take enough math classes to be an engineer and do full scale IP work.

  3. I’m a patent agent, and work as Corporate Patent Strategist for Kimberly-Clark (but I am part of the R&D community and am still involved in several research projects).

I’m not involved with copyright issues at work. At home, though, I do carry out a few pranks on those who steal my copyrighted photos and my bandwidth. The photos they illicitly link to for their Website or blog (drawing on my bandwidth to display on their site) will often get changed to little Book of Mormon ads.

    I like that!
