Touched by the Christian Example of a South Korean Immigrant

Dong Yun Yoon is the Christian immigrant from South Korea whose wife, children, and mother-in-law were killed by a fighter jet that crashed into his home after the pilot bailed out. Instead of the anger and outrage one might expect, he forgave the pilot and expressed concern for his welfare. “I pray for him not to suffer for this action,” Yoon said. “I know he’s one of our treasures for our country.”

Wow. A stunning example of a man who follows Christ and understands grace. Such love and composure in the midst of such a tragedy. Is there a fund people can donate to? Anything we can do to help?

Update: Michelle Malkin has provided the answer to my question. Look at her blog to see the family Dong Yun Yoon lost, and to learn more about this great man’s faith and patriotism. Please consider sending a note of support and a donation to Dong Yun Yoon, a Christian brother in a time of great pain. You can reach him via his pastor:

Here’s the address:

  1. I love your site. What a great way to build the kingdom! I recently started a site called AboutTheMormons.com in which members of the church can share testimonies etc and those who are curious can ask questions to the members.

I was wondering if there was any way to get exposure here on your site so that people can be aware of the new site. I would be happy to include links to your site on AboutTheMormons.com. Let me know if you can help and Thank You!
